2025-26 Volunteer Grants are now open!
The 2025-26 Volunteer Grants provide funding of between $1,000 and $5,000 for local community organisations to support the work of volunteers.
The funds can be used under one or more of the following categories:
- Category 1: Purchase communication and IT items (such as mobile phones, laptops, payment devices, electronic audio & visual equipment and software packages), pay phone bills, internet services and insurance premiums.
- Category 2(A): Purchase items to support volunteers from the following groups:
- Adults supporting children’s development and wellbeing
- Children (under 18)
- First Nations People
- Newly arrived migrants (within the past five years, non-citizens)
- People with disability (as defined by the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities)
- Unemployed people volunteering to improve employment readiness
- Veterans and Australian Defence Force members
- Women experiencing or at risk of gender-based violence or isolation
- Category 2(B): Fund volunteer-run activities with the main purpose of supporting the groups listed in Category 2(A) or eliminating racial discrimination and promoting social cohesion.
